I think ideally the rule should be to allow 3 on 3 half court, but mandatory masks on and off the court, until summer time when vaccinations will have reached a much greater portion of the population, then re-evaluate.

Im fine with allowing half court basketball at limited capacity - BUT I think everyone should wear a mask while playing and while on the sideline. Those teenagers have personal responsibility too and they are not following through. As we ramp up vaccination, I hope situations like this dont contribute to a resurgence of COVID. Despite reminders from staff to wear masks, the sideline players, mostly teenagers, refuse to comply. While 4 on 4 half court basketball is currently allowed without a mask, a mask is required if players are standing on the sideline. However, they do have trouble enforcing the masking policy on the basketball court. I am always telling people I meet about it-and will continue to.Įxcellent facility. I do make sure I leave my child with the individuals I feel the safest with and take an active role in ensuring her safety. This is a great place to be a member. They also get to know you and your child.
#LENEXA REC CENTER GYM HOW TO#
It was handled very professionally-I was amazed.Although I have had some trepidation with using Kid Zone, I am amazed with some of the staff who have gently taught me how to let my child go-it was very hard for me, a new mom. They allowed us to stop our membership without any repercussions and gave us time hacks within which to make decisions about staying or leaving for the time being. They communicated with us quickly and did not charge us. Love it!!I was most impressed with how they handled the COVID situation. Please email Rhonda Pollard for more information.Excellent facility-the employees are fantastic! Always ready with a friendly greeting, and they try to get to know you-it gives it a small town feel.I love the classes and the way that the organization makes it easy during COVID to access the amenities within own comfort zone-I can use a spin bike outside the classroom at any time.
